GWF
The GWF GE Refrigerator SmartWater™ water filter replaces
GWF01, GWF06, MXRC, HXRT, FXRT, HWF, and FXRC. Replaces Sears part
numbers 9905 and 46-9905. GWF was designed to work with the high
pressure water system included in the 2001 GE SmartWater™ refrigerators.
GE recommeds the use of only the GWF in its high pressure water
system refrigerators. However, GWF is backward compatible with all
other GE SmartWater™ refrigerators prior to 2001 and GE Water by
Culligan refrigerators. GWF has the same easy do-it-yourself installation
as the FXRC.
GWF GE SmartWater® water filters are no longer available. GE has replaced the GWF water filter with a newer improved MWF water filter.
