MAYTAG AND AMANA WATER FILTERS
Maytag
purchased Amana in 2001. Now filters for Maytag and Amana refrigerators
come from the same place. They are still very different though. The
UKF7003AXX, UKF8001AXX and the 12527304 (the most popular filters
from either camp) are very easy to distinguish.

UKF7003AXX The UKF7003AXX PuriClean filter was designed for Maytag and Jenn-Air side by side refrigerators. This filter replaces the UKF7001AXX and the UKF7002AXX. The UKF7003AXX has a capacity of 416 gallons of filtered water. It reduces
chlorine taste and odor, particulate, lead, cyst and turbidity reduction.

12527304 This Amana
water filter (12527304) cartridge is the replacement for part numbers
12388401, 12388402, 12527305, 12527307, 12527309, 9014, 46-9014,
9904, 46-9904, WF30, WF40, and WF401. It is located in the back
of the refrigerator compartment and removes most chlorine, lead,
odor and taste. This filter is the correct replacement for Sears/Kenmore
refrigerators where the model number begins wiht "596". |
