This filter reduces the negative effects of chlorine on hair and skin. It also helps to reduce the chlorine odor, rust and sediment floating in the water heater tank. This filter is rated at 10,000 gallon capacity and maximum filtered water flow GPM (gallons per minute) is 2.5 minutes. GE recommends replacing the filter every 6 months.
