The GE SmartWater MXRC Cartridge fits GE, Hotpoint, and Kenmore refrigerators with a round metal canister filter, typically mounted inside the refrigerator at the rear of the compartment - above the top shelf.

 

The GE MXRC Filter replaces these older filter part numbers:

  • GE
    • FXRC, FXRT, WR97X10006
  • Hotpoint
    • HXRT
  • Sears / Kenmore
    • 9905, 469905, 46-9905, 9905P, 04609905000

 
The older refrigerator water filters (all made by GE) used the marketing slogan "Water by Culligan" while the newer MXRC filter goes by the name "GE SmartWater" - the filters are identical.
